My name is Javin Goodine, and I am a fourth-generation winemaker born and raised in Salisbury, North Carolina. Winemaking is more than a profession to me, it's a family legacy that has been passed down through generations, and one I am honored to continue in my own way. My passion for food and beverage led me to Clemson University, where I earned both a Bachelor of Science and a Master of Science in Food Science. My education gave me the technical knowledge to innovate, but it was my family's traditions and my Southern roots that inspired me to create something truly unique. Rather than following convention, I chose to craft my wine from apples. That decision was deeply personal. Some of my earliest and most cherished memories are of picking apples with my Pawpaw, Javan. Those moments taught me the value of hard work, family, and appreciating the simple things in life. Every bottle is a tribute to those memories and the people who shaped me. Porch Sipper is more than a wine, it's an invitation to slow down and enjoy life's meaningful moments. It embodies Southern hospitality, front porch conversations, and the comfort of gathering with friends and family. My goal is for every sip to reflect the warmth, authenticity, and pride of the South while offering a fresh take on traditional winemaking. From my family's legacy to your glass, I hope every bottle of Porch Sipper tells a story worth sharing.
My name is Akil Dunn, and I am a creative director, entrepreneur, and business strategist with a passion for building businesses, brands, and creating meaningful experiences. My work has always lived at the intersection of art, culture, food, and business, shaping the way I approach every venture I take on.
I am the Founder and CEO of YoungFlyLords Arthouse & Animation Studios, a multidisciplinary creative company focused on animation, visual storytelling, art curation, and experiential projects. Through YoungFlyLords, I have collaborated with artists, brands, and creative communities while developing a deeper understanding of how creativity and storytelling can shape a brand.
I earned a degree in Philosophy from Coastal Carolina University, where I developed a strong foundation in critical thinking, cultural analysis, and understanding the ideas that shape communities and human connection.
As Vice President of Porch Sipper Wine, I bring that same creative and entrepreneurial perspective to business development, strategic partnerships, brand growth, and connecting Porch Sipper with new communities.
I am also a Partner at NAP USA, where I lead the Business Development team, continuing my work in strategic growth and relationship building.
Growing up in the South, I have always understood the cultural importance of gathering, hospitality, good food, and good conversation. I am excited to help build Porch Sipper into a brand that embodies that spirit while creating its own place within the broader culture of wine.
